Life Grows on

Life Grows On – despite the chaos of lockdown, nature continues to flourish. Inspired by local gardens and green-spaces blossoming during the Covid crisis. The summer lockdown of 2020 transformed my perspective of my home environment and the luxuries I took for granted, particularly having my own garden. At a time of such uncertainty, isolation and anxiety, our green spaces have become more crucial than ever as a lifeline to our wellbeing. Life Grows on is a playful collection, with a colour palette centred on the uplifting summertime florals I photographed and drew from. Developed using mixed media textile processes including digital print, CAD embroidery and laser cutting this aims to capture boldness and innovative surface qualities.
