Look At Me is an educational and informative book which explores a number of topics including the historical development of self-portraits, selfies and self-representation. It highlights and examines history, culture, editing techniques and deconstructs the self-portraits based on position, lighting and background. These are all things that often get overlooked by others. The book has been structured in order of the self-portraits from the earliest forms of representation to some of the newer ways that influencers are communicating to their followers online. The aim of the book is to educate people to see the reality beyond a natural looking image. I designed a couple of filters to go alongside the book which provide my audience with various backgrounds and makeup to improve their appearance.
