Not all maps need to be geographical. For the brief that asked us to create a map, I decided to map my family history.
Titled "Nascosto" which is Italian for hidden, the work maps the connection of my family to the mafia. An invented connection, the form is that of a gun cylinder with each barrel containing a canister that is a diorama. The outside of the canisters presents an introduction to 'relatives' and a cut out in the canister allows peeking in at panoramic photo collages of the past.
