MODUS, a platform for fashion expanded practice, presents MODUS: Conversations at Dutch Design Week 2020 with Onomatopee

  • Floriane Misslin

This summer, I started working as research assistant and on public relations for the platform MODUS. MODUS provides a platform to bridge the divide between theory and practice in fashion and help formulate new perspectives on fashion by facilitating conversations between practitioners from a range of disciplines. The project takes various forms from publications to events and workshops. It is led by Ruby Hoette (Goldsmiths University of London) and Caroline Stevenson (London College of Fashion), and kindly supported by Onomatopee, LCF, Goldsmiths, Provincie Noord-Brabant and British Council. For Dutch Design Week 2020, MODUS:Conversations organises three panel discussions hosted by Onomatopee. Please join myself, Jay McCauley Bowstread (London College of Fashion) and Chet Julius Bugter (Artez) for a conversation on how we research gender, fashion and embodiment through our practices.
