Mono No Aware - Private Viewing at Mother

Get ready for a DAM good Private Viewing exhibition of Alice Tye’s series Mono No Aware, in the spacious and spectacular venue that is Downstairs at Mother, on the 28th of February.

Alice Tye blurs the line between illustration and art, combining her talent for painting with a commercial technique. Her work is sophisticated, atmospheric and wonderfully artful. Her output has gained her clients such as Airbnb, Pentagram, Moet Hennessy, It’s Nice That and The Gourmand.
The series focuses on Hanami - the Japanese tradition of welcoming Spring. Alice portrays the ethereal appearance of the cherry blossom and the transient beauty of flowers sprawling across the urban cityscapes of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto inspired by her visit to Japan in Spring 2017.

Just like the fleeting cherry blossom, Alice Tye's work will be on display for a limited time, until the 3rd of March. Get your ticket here.
