Moon Man

Back in 2020 I was commissioned by Pentagram to explore and develop a direction for the new MTV Entertainment logo, based on the TV station's iconic moon man award. The aim was to capture the pose of an astronaut landing on the moon surface, specifically the moment right before touchdown. After a stance was agreed, we moved from sketches to stencils to figure out how a BW thumbnail would look like.
