The very lovely people at Marsh, Lockton and Clyde & Co, have asked me to create a #MotherWorks photography exhibition for them. To represent and recognise all their amazing working mums and to celebrate International Women's Day 2020 and Mother's Day. The exhibition was on at The St Botolph Building and open to the public from 9th to 20th March. Sadly cut short by lockdown but greatly appreciated by those who saw it. "I found the Motherworks exhibition inspiring and rewarding. It perfectly illustrated the practical, logistical and emotional challenges working mothers can face every single day. It is a celebration of working mothers and should be a springboard for companies recognizing and embracing the hurdles working mothers have to get over in order to maintain the commitment needed in order to advance their careers." Sarah Coutts - Advocate at Marsh "I loved the whole exhibition. I thought it really clearly showed the relationship between mums and children and mums and work. I loved the description that the exhibition celebrated the bizarre and brilliant duality of the life of working mums. It was amazing how similar the experiences of the working mums were when you read them, even though they represented many different careers." Katie Maycock Client Proposition Leader at Marsh Below are some of the portraits that I made of the amazing mums that work at The St Botolph Building surounded by kids and chaos but in formality of their workplace, to highlight the issues they cope with combining these two roles.
