Online grocery shopping is one of the fastest growing channels for the grocery retail sector. It is likely that a particular growth area for this market will be with young professionals living in urban areas. Design a service system that would appeal and be tailored to the special needs of this target group. 53% of customers prefer to shop online using a supermarket app over its website because it is a quicker process but 40% still get frustrated when shopping or paying on mobile. For OCADO 30% of sales are made throught their mobile app. Lens is an added feature on the OCADO app where you can point your phone camera at an food item and you can add the item into your basket. It can be used around their homes, making shopping quicker and easier with fewer steps.
