“Patriarchal oppression faces women all around the world, whether in the workplace, the home or the street.” . In this piece, collage artist Marta Parszeniew uses source material from books and magazines from 1940-1980 to explore the varying roles of women in their professional and domestic lives. Resonating on Dada and Constructivism and alluding to the polluting effect of fossil fuel industries, Marta looks at the effects of the systematic exploitation of women by the patriarchy. My work was exhibited along with 29 other women and non-binary artists at an exhibition at Proteinstudios #manmadedisaster
