Submission to the Penguin Design Awards competition. The objective was to design a purely typographic book cover for one of the titles in their Penguin Modern Classics imprint.
I selected ‘Hell’s Angels’ by Hunter S. Thompson. Inspired by it’s menacing and lawless tone, I decided to use the phonetic alphabet used by police departments to spell out the book’s title.
