Play with Your Food Workshop (on-going)

A creative writing and food workshop that aims to answer the research question: Can the production of food knowledge act not only as a method to preserve traditional foodways in displaced communities (in the Netherlands) but also as a space for resistance? A space to express feelings about displacement, identity, movement, & politics? This workshop explored storytelling through recipe structure. It was done with the generous support of the Salwa Foundation in Amsterdam, Noha Fikry an anthropologist at AUC, and done as a part of a research bureau at the University of the Underground.
