In 2016, Grime met football as the UK's nascent grime talent battled it out to be crowned the best squad via a cypher tournament.
One grime MC per UK city (London, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Derby, Leicester, Sheffield) was chosen by Red Bull Studios to captain eight teams. Each captain picked their team of local MCs to rep their ends. Each team was given a beat and invited to Red Bull Studios in London Bridge to record their cypher.
