ROOTS

ROOTS was showcased online within Cannes Lions top 10 entries for exceptional filmmaking. This is my first directorial short which I wrote, directed and produced. This was a really personal story I wanted to make and share with the world. Accompanied solely by music and no dialogue the story surrounds a teenage girl on one Summers day. I wanted to make a film which celebrated black culture, diversity, womanhood, adolescence, sport and being undefined.
