Sky Kids App @ O2

  • Caitlin McGregor

onedotzero's latest activation for sky is for the launch of the sky kids app, a brand-new app offering a huge variety of shows on demand for kids aged 3-9.

Continuing on from the initial installation at the O2, onedotzero was commissioned to create an activation for children. Our focus was on Scooby Doo, Ben & Holly and an Ipad building block tower with interactive stations. We reprogrammed the balcony membrane screen to now run a fun paint game, where the user was able to create paint splotches on the membrane and have them pop into characters.
My role on this project was to run the production, from budgets, RA-MS, 3rd party contractors, materials, fabrication and installation. I was very involved with all forms of the build from design to fabrication, with multiple workshop visits. On-site my role was to manage the team and ensure that the build was completed smoothly over the course of a single evening, in time for a Mommy Bloggers event the following morning. This involved managing a large crew, working with the onsite AEG team and ensuring that the client receive the very best when we were complete.
This project also involved large prints, printed collateral and integrated technology. Working alongside Scena Productions, Yoke and DCLX we created a 6-week experience that was met with only good reviews.
