Soweto 16

Soweto 16 was a brief set by the London Metropolitan University and the Anti-apartheid legacy in conjunction with the Lilies-leaf Trust UK. We were tasked to research and portray a narrative through a printed outcome. I selected the Soweto June 16th massacre, because as a student I felt extremely empowered by the students who came before me. To push the boundaries I created a poster that converts into a folded triangular zine, informing readers of the protest and events. This was done using multiple analogue methods in combination with Adobe software and the main source of visual inspiration came from the boldness of David King's protest work.
