Split

Anthology, Editorial Project.
As a collection, childhood memories hang onto us for the rest of our lives. SPLIT studies how we retain these memories, but also looks at the changes we have made since growing up - both physically and mentally.
Taking influence from the ICA Stealing Beauty exhibition catalogue, the anthology is split into two parts. The first book displays a profile for each of the respondents, consisting of a handwritten questionnaire and two photographs; one from when they were younger and one from now. To look at the changes and compare these now, the second book takes on a flip-panel book style, and allows the reader to play with and create new portraits. Both books are sewn together with single sheet coptic binding, and wrapped in hardback, black book cloth.
