One last book for 2023. Studio Cookbook volume three, published by Hato Press. Our latest contribution to a long line of artist cookbooks. Kenjiro Kirton made the first volume of the Studio Cookbook back in 2010, when he was interning at design studios in London and saw the potential of the working lunch to get people chatting. For this volume, we invited friends, family and collaborators of HATO, plus a handful of people whose work we love and admire, to share a recipe they eat as part of their working day. The book features 37 dishes spread across four chapters – Snacks, Mains, Sweets and Drinks. There are sweet treats, speedy reheats and communal stews cooked over open fires. Dishes made on deadline, for recovery from a long day, or to share with friends, inspiring collaboration. Contributors include: Polly Brown, Haydée Touitou, Lexie Smith, Marie Jacotey, Martino Gamper, Nifemi Marcus Bello, Fumiko Imano, Toogood, Celia Pym, Jacob Lillis, Ryan Gander, Wilfrid Wood… to name just a few. Designed by the HATO team – Kenjiro Kirton, FIBI KUNG and Kurt Champion especially – with a cover graphic inspired by plates moving around a tabletop. Launched over a pleasing November afternoon at Leila’s Shop in Shoreditch. Available now at hatopress.net.
