Working with Zinc Network, we created a campaign on behalf of UNDP for Afghanistan during the midst of a global pandemic and ongoing security challenges. The message is simple: if you could see yourself on the precipice of violence, you would feel ashamed and would choose a different course of action. Crucially, local GBV support services – confidential and available from within the home – are highlighted for victims or potential victims. To start a conversation, bringing GBV into the light to reduce the shame and stigma attached to talking about it. Partnering with activists, religious scholars and psychologists, offering meditation and counselling services to both victims and perpetrators. broadcasting advice on how to handle stress and where to seek help.
