Taylor and Francis stands proudly as a world leading academic publisher of advanced, emergent and applied academic research and knowledge. The brief was to make Taylor and Francis come alive on Instagram. At the heart of our approach was the empowering tagline #DiscoverYourTruth, which became the driving force behind a vibrant Instagram hub filled with compelling content, captivating stories, and bold photography—content that not only made users pause but also actively engage. In the early stages of this exciting project, I took the reins as the lead creative and designer, introducing a bold look and feel that bestowed upon Taylor and Francis a distinct style it hadn't embraced before. The guiding question was simple yet powerful: What if Taylor & Francis embodied the spirit of a millennial brand eager to immerse itself in the dynamic culture of Instagram? Embracing a vivid and bright color palette along with a duotone style featuring cut-out photography, our visual identity demanded attention. These elements were skilfully balanced with impactful typography and edgy graphics, infusing the brand with newfound energy. The content came to life through clever animations and dynamic typographic movement. The outcome was content that resonated exceptionally well and lead to growing engagement rates that were significantly higher than the standard usually achieved in the higher education sector.
