The Brutalist Institute

A digital archive that aims to celebrate the beauty, majesty and utilitarianism of the world of brutalist architecture. Brutalist in form and utilitarian in function the identity is bold, impactful and simple, echoing the architecture it represents. The logo is reminiscent of the interweaving layers of concrete that contrast the sharp angles and interesting patterns that can be achieved with the most basic of materials known to the world. Paired with a modern Neo-grotesque typeface it is both archaic and contemporary.
