I wrote and directed this short film about a young girl who tries to find a way to help her blind mother, who used to be a successful artist, learn how to paint again. The film stars Sarah, a blind actress and Caitlyn, a nine year old. I attempted to address the inaccurate representation of disabled people and women in cinema by casting Sarah, who is genuinely blind, as the mum. Sarah and Jo are also together in the film, although this is not made clear to the audience, in an attempt to normalise same sex relationships on screen.
