The Power of the Internet

  • Michael Wong

The brief was to celebrate a book found in the library, based on the dewey decimal number closest to my date of birth. The book found touched on the subject of historical manuscripts. My response to the book was based on how manuscripts and books hold knowledge, and how knowledge leads to power. I flipped the idea of historical manuscripts into the modern age, how now the majority of people use the internet rather than books and manuscripts to find information and knowledge. This lead to my typographical representation of the power of the internet, how powerful and reliant we have become. The book touches on many subjects from coding, hacking and fake news, using a design style to matches the concept of the subject.
