This was a self initiated project, sparked from my interest in print making and 'traditional' print making techniques. I researched into studios that were still using interesting print methods within their work or had facilities for others to use. I began by contacting 34 individual studios and then visited 8 that were based all over the country. The outcome for the project is a short film based on interviews from the studios, featuring Heretic Print Studio, Peckham Print Studio, London Centre for Book Arts, Ditto Press Ltd & Lovenskate.
For the project I also created an A3 loose-leaf publication on the Risograph printer, this includes details of the studios including a full copy of the interviews. As well as this part of the project I also created a publication, which features scanned images of ‘printed matter’ that I came across during the journey of the print project.
