Ubuntu needed essential core apps for their phone to allow users to start using their phone straight away.
As design lead for the core apps project, I was directly responsible for the design of three of the core apps: Calendar, Clock and Browser. Designing a fun and useful different browser with great interactions and powerful tabbing and usability is the biggest challenge. For the browser, I produced a variety of sketches, and quick mocks. I worked with prototypers to bring these designs to life and presented several iterations to Mark Shuttleworth.
