Who Won the News event

Our idea of an end of the year event to look back at the news of 2017 and to discuss what might be part of the news in 2018 came after a brainstorm in the early part of the year. We wanted to use our media unit, which consists of ex journalists and editors, and our network to put on an event which would interest and inform. We conducted a survey with researchers about the UK news consumption in 2017 and how people consumed their news. From idea to conception, we created every aspect from scratch. We secured a panel of amazing speakers: Bryony Gordon, Nick Sutton, Kate McCann, Harry Wallop and Ian Burrell and chose the perfect spot to host the event - in a blank canvas room overlooking Soho. We worked with our design team to create branding which showed the side of traditional media but also had an edgy feel to it to represent the modern, digital age of news. We also showcased the most powerful news stories of the year around the room. The finished results looked amazing on an all white background and with the views we had, made for the perfect location.
