This design was in response to an ISTD brief titled ‘The Significance of Numbers’ where we were asked to challenge the way we see numbers. I created an interactive book made up of several different types of puzzles that all represent numbers. With clues and examples throughout, the reader can work out what each pattern equals and develop an understanding of how we can use more decorative visualisations to represent a value. Throughout the entire book, no numerical digits were used to emphasise how numbers can be more than just the boring mathematical figures many people see them to be.
