So this started out as part of a lecture I gave my students at DCU where I got them to do an animated typography video and this is what I chose for the in-class demonstration, finishing it off at home later.
I've since gone back to it to change the #typography and colour scheme to make it more influenced by the 60s, Blue Note and #midcentury aesthetics. To be honest, it is a bit of a departure from the main idea of this Schudelfloss project where I want to illustrate sounds of acid house, techno and drum n bass with #MCM inspired dots, circles and waves which directly correspond to the sounds in the tune, but hey... I just love this tune, and that essential mix.
I've always loved the bonkers nature of the lyrics of this tune, particularly when paired with this Stanton Warriors bootleg of the Masters at Work and Denise Belfon classic from their Dec 2001 essential mix. Assertive, potent, uptempo, sexually confident, what's not to like?
It's an absolute winner for me if I'm mid-workout or running or whatever, sure-fire guaranteed output booster.
