ZielABI App

An app built to help high school students in Germany track their Abiture, to help ensure they stay on track to get the grades they need.

After hearing the problem that the app aimed to resolve, we started from the ground up, and took a hard look at how users would interact with such an app.
We wanted to make an app that was truly beneficial to the user, and we felt that users would be looking to spend as little time on the app as possible and that this was quite possibly one of the best metrics we could use to see how successful the app was.
The user should easily be able to go in the app, add their scenarios, subjects and scores and leave feeling satisfied knowing exactly where they stand with their grades and university targets. This way, they would be able to spend more time focusing on their work and learning, rather than worrying about numbers.
In order for the user to have a better experience on the app, we went through different use-cases on how users would interact with the app. This ultimately lead to a wide range of sliders being used in the app as it was a far easier method of inputting scores as opposed to other methods such as typing in their scores. Doing this, we enable the user to quickly input their scores over multiple subjects and semesters swiftly.
The app was launched with support for two languages, German and English. German being the default, but English being supported for users who had their system language set to English.
