    Beat Hotel — Brand IdentityThe Beat Hotel first opened as a stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2011. It takes its name, and a heap of inspiration, from the original Beat Hotel, which was a small, run-down hotel in the Latin Quarter of Paris, that gained fame as the home of the extended family of Beat writers and artists who stayed there in the late 1950s and early ’60s.

The paper is a mix of designer profiles, interviews, and fashion stories. We retained the newspaper format of previous editions, but gave the design a new lease of life.

Formally known as the Medical Arts Building, and then The Hickman Building, it was bought in 2014 by a local business consortium, with the vision to restore it to its former glory, turning it into a beacon of light in the downtown area.
