Responsible for leading the development of creative concepts, stories, ideas and executions for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they delivered on business, brand strategy and tone of voice across Mini Boden for print and online. Restructured departments, developed and lead strong direction in graphics, photography, video, locations, castings and worked across several campaigns. Lead the creative development process of content creation working closely with the Product, Merchandise, Brand, Marketing, Digital, Social and Retail teams. Ensured content for print, online, social and retail for core markets translated customer understanding into engaging content for the customer.
Over a period of 3 months I concepted, shoot produced and executed campaign content across food and still life for digital and social platforms.
Cedar booked me on a years contract to produce the next four Tesco books. This included SS16, AW16 Press Book, Outdoor Furniture Book SS16 which we shot in Cape Town, Gift Guide Dec16 and an additional Christmas Home Newspaper. In the last year I have also been working across platforms, creating digital content for social and web.
Creative Director for IPC Creative Media, In charge of generating and driving strong creative bespoke pitch ideas and responsible for the creation of advertorial and special project activity across 25 print titles and their various online properties. Leading a team of 20 (art, copy, pictures and pitch teams). Responsible for the creative direction of more than 600 projects a year for clients including L’Oreal, P&G, Lacoste, John Frieda, Malibu, Rimmel, Clinique, Garnier, John Lewis and Ikea. Driving revenue with the Projects Director by tight management of production P&L. Liaising between editorial, publishing, sales, clients and agencies. Ensuring design and copy writing was engaging and met the client brief while still being true to the magazine brand. Executing over 1000 pages with an average turnover of approx £5m a year.
I was promoted within IPC Creative to Art Director and restructured the two separate art departments (weeklies and monthlies) into one, enabling one art department to work across all 25 print titles. I worked closely with the Projects Director in this role to produce shoots and was deputy for the Creative Director in his absence. I oversaw all live and pitch layouts and was responsible for directing the visual look and feel of all pages through art direction of shoots and layout design.
I was promoted within the company as Art Editor to head up an Art Department working across weekly magazines in a newly restructured commercial department producing all advertorial and special projects across various groups of IPC Media . Working closely with an art, copy, pictures and project management department. I was responsible for the creative direction of all layouts and art direction of shoots. Liaising between editorial, sales, clients and agencies ensuring we met the client brief while still engaging with the reader.
