Anyone else had people trying to credit themselves on your projects even though they haven't worked on them??
I've just had to remove two people I've never heard of who have tried to get credited a project they never worked on. I take it I'm can't be the only one who's experienced this?

- @Kid Circus Dot bots :D
- @Scott Jackson Or....The Dot Bots... [sorry] [ahem]
- @Scott Jackson Such a cheek! Or have we just simply been invade by some bots on here, hahahaha
- @Kid Circus Yep. About a month ago. Someone put themselves as having worked on a project that I'd done. I'd never heard of them before?
- Yeah. I am not sure what the grift is about, but it does feel like whack-a-mole with weird claims at the moment.
- @Scott Jackson Really? Recently?
- Happened to me on here.
- @Christiane Lange @Kid Circus we got in contact with tha agency that published my content and asked them why did they do that and got no answer, than we told them we will take legal actions if they don't give credit or take the article off from their site, so they just ended deleting it. It was interesting yet pathetic at the same time...
- @Kid Circus Yes, got it (and just checked mine), but I was asking @Yağız Pekkaya about his situation.
- @Christiane Lange Nope, I mean that someone has added themselves as one of the collaborators you're able to credit at the bottom of a project :)
- @Yağız Pekkaya @@ Not surprised unfortunately. I would still notify the site or publication that the material is stolen.
- @Kid Circus shenanigan........
- @Christiane Lange EXACTLY! I Can you even imagine... Lol
- So how do we know for sure it doesn't happen ? Is this also why people have trust issues? Strange times we are living in isn't it?
- @Yağız Pekkaya What the ...? Do you mean that someone took your published work and republished under their own name?
- @shonay shote Definitely :-|
- @Yağız Pekkaya WTF... Blimey!
- Yes, it's weird...
- On 3 or 4 projects, I had experienced that. And for worse, they didn't even gave me credit on the projects that I worked on... Even a few of my articles had been published without my permission. I find justice but, why do that tbh??
- @Sander Gee Yeah, totally. Check back through all your projects, folks.
- As a writer, I can confirm this. When your work goes under so many editing eyes, most of your own ideas and work is scrapped. It's sad to see the Content Lead take the work under their name.
- yup, super annoying and no respect fir the actual work
- @Christiane Lange Indeed, indeed.
- @Asher Harris YOU ARE NOT ALONE :'-D
