- @Benedicta Banga try air drying clay, it is a wonderful way to switch off and get creative :)
- @Benedicta Banga It was hard for a bit - I can only hope we're not going back to that complete lockdown horror.
- The mindful quality of a focused swimming is incredibly mentally immersive. Focus on technique, count your stokes, count your lengths, keep a detailed diary.
- @Richard Robinson it sounds great, unless it’s hols swimming for me equates to getting cold always leads to lots of psyching up for some reason. I do love a pool with ‘soft’ water, it is a very soothing experience.
- @Julia Fenwick I love this one. Might have to buy myself one for Christmas.
- @Lisa Gray it really sounds like something I should try because a lot of the time I am ‘on’. Learning to still my thoughts would be so welcome.
- @Isabel Serval I miss spending time with friends. 2020 has been an unkind year in that respect.
- @Vikki Ross I love this especially when the evenings are light.
- Walking - the air feels so good after a day inside looking at a screen
- Spend time with friends, go new places (can be in my own city), go for long walks and work out.
- Anyone who knows me that I am a COMPLETE evangelist about meditation. Meditating for at least 20 minutes a day has changed my life. You learn so much from stopping and giving your brain a complete break. Its not something where you notice the changes during meditation, you learn during the moments that you use to get stressed, or your creative ideas become so much more concise and clear. I would recommend a guided course to get you started. My favourite app is insight timer. Best of luck!
- Lots of friends of mine have taken up doing jigsaws which they have said has been really relaxing. I've bought one but havent started it yet.
- Tooting Lido very early doors. Best start to the day & you'll leave with a thousand ideas buzzing around your mind of what you can do to make things happen.
- Ride a bike. When your head is full of ideas, frustrations, challenges and conversations, riding a bike (where a big part of your brain has to focus on navigation, momentum and staying safe) gives me a break from obsessing on work and all that goes with it.Breathing hard and clearing your mind is the perfect way of distancing yourself from the day physically too - whether you're commuting or heading out 'just riding'.
- @Benedicta Banga you should! it's mindlessly relaxing. Good way of cooling down
- Learning on skillshare with fashion.highly recommend
- Anything creative- I cook, sew, knit, crochet. Being creative feeds your soul- even when I worked 60 hour weeks in an office I had to have creative projects for whatever downtime moments I could snatch.
- Hello Benedicta: every day is different and I try to stay happy!. Sometimes I cook special recipes, 4 times a week I do workout with Nike app, and when I feel troubled I do Zen meditation. Lately I enjoy watching flower bloom in my garden as we are beginning soon Spring.Kind regards
- I like to read in the garden if the weather is nice; the warm sun on my skin really boosts my moodI also love to follow video tutorials on how to draw in Procreate. Helps to improve my skills and I don’t have to think about a concept or design so I can just enjoy the process
- At home spa treatments (DIY face masks etc.) when I need some time to myself; watching food and makeup videos on youtube and baking.
- I bake cakes, probably not really taking care of myslef because then i have to eat them all, but I find following recipies fun, don't need to think just follow!
- @Benedicta Banga Hi Benedicta, sure... Since covid i've started to re-learn to do my own to save money.. My recipes :1) Ghassoul Maroccan clay + seamoss gel - will smooth outh and deep cleanse your face and neck and give you a baby's skin feel,2) Bodyshop Himalyan Charcoal3) Homemade scrub : Honey, lemon juice, olive oil, grounded avocado pit/stone and cane sugar , you can use it all over your body to also scrub and moisture your skin...Great inspiration i hope
- Nintendo Switch :) but also, I enjoy being in the garden some evenings. Either just watching nature or gardening!
- @Benedicta Banga yeah! It maps out a picture with each part of it having a number and then you get paint pots with corresponding numbers so you know which colours to use. Hopefully after doing a couple of those I can look into painting properly myself! (For now it’s enough though haha!)
