Starting or running a business? If you could get advice from one business owner (side hustler, freelancer, founder etc.) who would it be?

Exciting news! We’re working on a program to help support small business owners on their journeys.

To make sure that it’s as helpful as possible for you, we’d love to know what business owners (side hustler, freelancer, studio owners, founder etc) inspire you, and who you’d like to hear advice from during the sessions.

Pop your top names (& why you picked them) below, thanks :-)

  • I don't have any names in particular.
I'm a graphic designer who does not have graphic design qualifications (self-taught) ,any design peeps or business experience when I decided I'm not going back to an office. It was hard and there were (and still is) many ugly tears and feelings of helplessness. On top of that, I'm a shy introvert - the mention of networking (handing out name cards and all that small talk) makes me want to hide in a dark room. I'm in a different place now. I would like to hear advice / stories from shy, quiet and ambitious introverts who are fulfilled in their business.

  • Ben Frances the founder and now CEO of Gymshark. I have looked upto him for years and without reading his story and following his journey. I definitely wouldn’t have believed in myself to start my own clothing brand and limited company at 17. At the start of the pandemic and lockdown.

With Ben Frances as a figure to look up to. I gave my crazy dream a try and don’t regret it for the world!! He has taught me so much, regarding how important it is to be open honest and transparent. In both business and my personal life. How you never loose anything from just trying and asking.

But most importantly how in order to succeed you have to be willing to admit that you need to surround yourself with people who are better then you in certain areas.

    So 100% Ben Frances.
