Join lettering artist Alison Carmichael as she takes us through her inspirations and her work which has spanned across 25 years collecting numerous industry accolades. From headlines and logotypes to handwriting, typefaces and mixed media. From traditional pens, brushes and ink to more alternative methods including ketchup, whipped cream, flour and even full scale crop circles. Expect time for a Q&A at the end.

This is the second of our #IsolationInspiration series 2021 - informal sessions to connect, inspire, and inject some positivity into our creative community during these strange and trying times. Keep your eyes peeled for more talks and Q&A’s over the coming months.

About Alison Carmichael
London based hand lettering artist, Alison Carmichael studied Graphic Design at Ravensbourne College of Design and has been working commercially for over 20 years for global brands and agencies collecting numerous industry accolades along the way.

She has been called upon to design ad campaigns, typefaces, brandmarks, exhibition signage, window displays, murals, body painting and tactile lettering using all kinds of food and materials even including full size lettering crop circles.

She is renowned for her huge range of diversity and versatility in lettering styles and has judged Crafts for Design at D&AD, D&AD New Blood and Craft for Design at Creative Circle in recent years.
