a Soft Rapture (2022)

In 2020 we were invited to conduct R&D looking at how a coherent music programme could compliment Transform Festival's performance-focused programming. The output of this evolved into a Soft Rapture, which took place at Hope House Gallery in March 2022. As part of the festival's 2021/22 programme, we were invited to produce an event which seamlessly joined music, performance and theatre together: Over the course of an evening and well into the night, a Soft Rapture explored what an alternative club space could look like. Leaning into a more meditative, intimate and collaborative environment, a Soft Rapture combined DJs, performance and movement practices to explore how club spaces can facilitate both hedonism and healing.
