If an image is worth a thousand words, what happens to those who can't see them? A Thousand Words is a personal project involving writers from all over the world helping bring images to visually impaired people. Using the power of words to describe images.
ATW works as a user-generated platform gathering location descriptions written by volunteering authors. By simply searching or allowing the app location access, users can find descriptions of landscapes, city spots or viewpoints with narration tracks. Descriptions are not only arranged by location, but also by date and language. Both the app and site can be voice-guided.
