'Assimilate': blurring the lines between digital + organic

Myself and graphic designer Matthew Alex Taylor have used each other’s work as influence to create an audiovisual in which through the use of digital animation pairs elements of the natural world with the man-made structures creating a rich and fluid ‘dreamscapes’. The ambient soundscape serves as a supplement to the digital environments and was exhibited at Grow Tottenham for the Loose Lips all day event in support of charity Headway East London "So often are we fed and experience the tribulations of the new age merging of digital and reality, but in ‘Assimilate’ the two worlds collide, coexist and create synergy between themselves. 'Assimilate' aims to showcase how technology can be used to blur the lines of what is reality through abstract narrative and by combining conventional experiences with dynamic organic forms and engaging sounds. The new age relationship between humans and technology needn’t be strictly physical, or used to constrict us; emphasising the things we learn from this current technological climate can be expressed in different, creative forms."
