I was given the chance to spend a day learning an old technique of black and white film photography. Having no set outcome or idea of what to photograph, I took it upon myself to finding textures within a city environment. It was a very hands on process, from the photography, developing the film and prints.
The overall outcome came out well, for a first time producing black and white film photography. The textures show the vast materiality to an city, I wanted to show test my ability with taking photographs focusing close up. Developing my own photos gave me the ability to test the contrasts between the black and white to give the best texture.
