I was briefed to create a marketing website for Connectr as part of their rebrand from MyKindaFuture. The marketing team were in charge of the project and from their brief I pulled out some key points that stood out to me. The website needs to first and foremost generate leads and convert those leads into customers. Secondly, the website needs to show credibility and instil trust in potential leads. I was also given a rough sitemap from the marketing team, outlining the pages they wanted and the information they wanted to use. I started by creating some customer personas to help put me in the shoes of the people we wanted to convert into buyers of our products. I had a persona for each product as they all had different needs and potential pain points. And from these personas, I create a customer journey map, to map an ideal journey through the website to the contact page. The original website has changed a bit since the initial launch, but it consisted of a homepage encouraging users to the product pages, which in-turn encouraged users to get in touch. We implemented ‘Calendly’, a third-party app, to make booking a call as easy as clicking a button. We also had pages talking about the impact the products had on our customers, a blog for thought leadership pieces, as well as a few other simple pages.
