Concept
I participated in Student Design Award 2016 for an adult nonfiction cover award. The brief was to design cover page design for the novel 'To Kill a Mocking Bird' by Harper Lee. I read the book and had an idea to use feathers for my concept. I have used one particular black feather to identify with the 'black man who is charged with the rape of a white girl'.
Process
I sketched out the feathers and scanned it and did few changes and refined it. The etching method is used gives an authentic effect to this classic novel.
