Concept. Art Direction. Design. Convey complex B2B telecoms technologies in a visually stimulating way using an existing three-part metaphor. Digital, print, film and B2B events. One of my favourite Ericsson campaigns. I loved designing the layouts with the wonderful coloured parachutes. During post-production we decided more people were needed in the main metaphor message. So I rode my bike all around London, trying to find a hill tall enough. But ended up capturing the old couple out of the office window!

I found this campaign difficult to cast. The talent agency just didn’t quite have the right look. So I sent them to the streets. Global campaigns require global representation.
Plenty of practising was required for the power stilts. I still fancy a go.

Having concepted the idea, I then got to design every aspect of the shoot, from the tents and the monitors down to the uniforms, which were all made and shot in South Africa.
