Connecting young people to the mental health support they need
The Challenge
We were asked to work with the YMCA and NHS on a campaign website to raise awareness of mental health issues in young people, particularly reaching out to 13 - 25 year olds.
The site needed a strong visual style that would appeal to a young demographic and a simple user journey that would perform well under high levels of traffic.
"The find get give website makes sure that you can find the help and support that you need, as well as seeing what other people think about services in your area. Having been to my local YMCA as a kid, I’m really happy to support their new website to help young people across England."

The Approach
We developed and launched the findgetgive.co.uk website as a centerpiece for the #IAMWHOLE campaign, helping young people search safely and simply for local mental health services.
Focussing on design we kept the structure clear and simple, using the three fundamentals of the brand, ‘Find Help’, ‘Get Help’ and ‘Give Feedback’, to guide the user journey.
We clearly signposted access to also created a ‘Quick exit’ button that behaves in the same way, should the user be interrupted and want to maintain privacy.
Quick Exit Function
As part of the ongoing safeguarding efforts, we created a ‘Crisis’ button which follows the user around the site, for cases of extreme distress. This provides immediate and direct access to relevant help.
The Results
Within two weeks of the site’s launch, over 50 mental health services were listed nationwide across 22 locations.
The site saw over 50,000 page visits within that time, and the #IAMWHOLE campaign gained national exposure including PR Week’s ‘Top Campaigns We Like’ award.
