Future Dreams

Magazine Re-Design

Re-design of Future Dreams magazine, reworking the look and feel of editorial content to better communicate the Future Dreams vision and purpose. Future Dreams is a charity helping women diagnosed with breast cancer to step beyond their diagnosis and move forward with their lives - aiming to support so that no woman is faced with breast cancer alone.

The magazine was designed to be more visual, championing white space with less copy to let everything breathe. Articles were spread across more pages and storytelling was key to have more impact and emotional resonance.

The cover and feature story was shot by Simon Emmett at Spring with Melissa Hemsley.

INSPIRATION

The brand palette takes an paired-back editorial look and feel. Feminine shades balance with earth tones. Mixing Serif and sans serif fonts creates a contrast that can elevate an editorial design.

STYLE GUIDE

A style guide for all future issues was created with guides on colour and typography as well as layout for each type of editorial content.
Articles were signposted with colour page edges for easy way-finding per issue. Vibrant colours were paired with neutrals on all layouts to create a fresh but elegant look and feel. The colours were feminine but bright and were incorporated across all content pillars.
