“Good Day Dashboard is a front-end development project for General Assembly. The project is a playful introduction into more intermediate levels of object-orientated JavaScript and jQuery coding. The dashboard manages live data from Transport for London, the Weather Channel, as well as NASA, in order to present the user with the current Underground line statuses, the weather, and whether or not there are nearby asteroids overhead. Designed as a set of widgets, NASA data is localised and time widget is determined using the moment.jsplugin. Running commentary consolidates each live feed into a brief message describing the current conditions. The live version can be viewed here: https://akndesign.github.io/“
