Google Tasks

Google Tasks is a feature launched in 2018 to help users stay on top of their schedule. It runs as a standalone app and is also built into Gmail and Google Docs. While working at Wolff Olins, I was on a team to create the icon and animation behaviours for it, as well as developing a sonic identity to accompany it. The act of ticking tasks off a paper list is one of those near-universally satisfying moments, so our goal was to translate this feeling to the screen. This mark came with other behaviours to be implemented alongside it, showing multiple tasks being completed at once, loading icons and tasks in progress.
