My response:
The concept is to deliver a new and exciting viewpoint of the expedition, in a booklet. Tracy Edwards was the first skipper of an all-female crew to complete the Whitbread round the world yacht race in 1989. The reader will experience not only the physical journey but her emotional journey with sexism and how she came to realise she was a feminist.
The physical journey is depicted by the waved imagery and typography leaving the reader slightly seasick. The emotional journey is depicted by the colours, content, and language throughout the booklet. Pink and grey were chosen ironically to represent anti-sexism.
