HALCYON THREAD

Halcyon Thread is a project I have created to address themes of the sensory through the medium of textiles, inspired by my Interest of medicinal plants and aromatherapy. Sensory stimulation and mindfulness is a more practical approach to therapy for various medical, physical and mental health conditions that can effect sensory processing. Often in textiles we focus mostly on visual stimuli, I wanted to consider senses that we seem to overlook; Smell, weight and sound as well as one of the main parts of textiles, tactility.
