IN THE MIDDLE is an international travelling magazine that, instead of focusing on the touristic part of each city, exposes its everyday life through the population's eyes, more specifically the middle class. IN|THE|MIDDLE aims to demonstrate how the co-dependence relationship between a place and its population structures society, showing that the people are just the result of their context and the opportunities it gives to them, and at the same time showing how the history behind the city can only exist because of the decisions that its people made and keep making. The middle class is an economic idea that gives us status in society, and this status depends on income, working and study opportunities, expenses, fashion decisions, live commodities, and the list continues. But I believe one of the most important of these items is the part of the globe the person belongs to, that is why I want to allow readers to move around the world and feel each city as it is supposed to, without any privileges, advantages, or disadvantages from outside its original context.
