LifeOnTheMat | UI/UX website design and branding

Together with the client we created the brand identity LOTM, witch represents a breath of fresh air that, gives us the strength needed to feel present in our bodies. LOTM aims to share that we are always learning, it does this with a loving practice of yoga and mindful movement. Within LOTM an individual is encouraged to get to know them selfs. LifeOnTheMat or LOTM for short does all of this with yoga classes, workshops and retreats.

Typography & color

Keeping LifeOnTheMat core values in mind, PolySans was chosen to display typography on the site. PolySans is a fresh take on mid 20th century classics, visually distinct from its predecessors by a subtle soft-edge inktrap feature. A complementary color pallet was also created to help communicate the relaxed and inviting nature of the brand.
Logotype
The logotype balances the fluid movements done in yoga, and the structure that is needed to stay present in everyday life. The balance is presented in a modernist logo mark representing a yoga mat.
User experience design & the interface

Following the brand conception I started designing wireframes for the LifeOnTheMat website. Wireframes were created for the home, yoga, about us and contact page. The design of the website is light and free following the guidelines set in the brand conception phase.
Photography & Mood

In the photoshoot we wanted to capture the light and fluid movements in yoga, the .raw lab was chosen as the primary location.
