Leeds City College Group is a conglomerate organisation of several education institutions founded by Leeds City College, one of the largest FE colleges in the UK. The college covers three central campuses: Park Lane; Technology; Printworks and a fourth Quarry Hill Campus which is opening in 2019 as well as community centres. Other institutions in the group include White Rose Academic Trust (Secondary Schools); Leeds College of Music and Keighley College. The lead of the group and CEO of LCC, Colin Booth, is renowned for pulling colleges from failure to excellent in a short period. The group was founded to improve failing intuitions quickly via Colin’s leadership and ‘stronger together’ principle. The group has ambitions to grow in strength by teaming up with more institutions from the UK, mainly in the North. They needed a new name and brand. After a group brainstorm, they chose the name Luminate, as it represented the vision for the group and everything it aims to achieve.
